Hey. Ok, I know that excited new members can be annoying and a chore. Especially when they are as uneducated as myself.
Anyway, obviously I am a new member, one who doesn't really have a great deal of connections irl, within the experimental scenes. But, as some may have deduced, I come from a doom metal background, leaning more on the funeral/drone side of things
My desire is to go into drone further. My influences of such are nadja, sunn (obviously, earth (again that is a bit obvious), black boned angel, dark Buddah rising, a-sun amissa, and the ilk of those kind of bands
I literally have no clue past that oscillators are used for drone music. I guess that puts me on a kind of weird level, where I can either be taught, or just do whatever and hope for the best. It's an odd place to be, because forty years ago, the latter is all people could do.
But I am hoping that through this forum, I can at least have some ushering hands, just guiding me along a wide path. Anything more than that would be greatly appreciated
Incidentally, I live in Leeds, Yorkshire, uk

Hey mate - welcome to the forum - its a bit quiet round here - lots of lurkers but not always communication - but your stuff will get heard. If you want to make drone theres a few bits of software and hardware that can help:
Software:
Paulstretch (really drony and free)
Hardware : an analogue synth (suggest behringer neutron) a field recorder (suggest a zoom h2n) a reverb pedal, a modular synth module that can time stretch, and as your into death metal a distrortion or overdrive pedal
