Hi every one. Just a curious to know about why people like different kinds of music? when I got your question, it was music to my ears. Humans have been experimenting with all kinds of sounds, lyrics, and instruments for thousands of years. There are hundreds of genres of music, so while you might like one kind, a friend might like something completely different. Or maybe you became friends because of your similar taste in music.

Hi,
really cool to post about this topic. Actually, as a musician you are in the middle of it and you don't think about it. But all the better to take these thoughts seriously and speak out.
On my way as a musician I came across this website "Ishkur's Guide to Electronic Music" a few years ago: music.ishkur.com/# - with sound samples. Maybe it will interest you and others. I find it totally exciting what Ishkur has delivered as an overview about the different electronic music types and developments of the last 100 years.
Hint: Just enlarge the "overview map" and be amazed what all comes to light!

STRoeHM combine experimental music (avant-garde) with free improvisation and create imaginative sound structures. Novel sounds, rhythmically under laid, expressive, dynamic, then again impulsive with romantic elements are the musical result in the common interplay.
Based in the Swabian Alb in Germany, they have been playing and improvising for 10 years now. Again and again they surprise the listener with newly emerging rhythmic, tonal as well as atonal motifs.
