Fjernsind - Room Full of Mirrorsfjernsind.bandcamp.com/album/room-full-of-mirrorsEdit!!!:
Recently changed this project's name from sharing my own real name, Jacob Læby, to Fjernsind.
The name "Fjernsind" is a word play on the Danish word for "Tele-vision", "Fjern-syn", that directly translated means "Distant-vision" or "Remote-vision", so instead of "syn" ["vision"] as the last syllable, the Danish word for "mind", namely "sind", is used.
All tracks by this project is up for free download and listening here: fjernsind.bandcamp.com/

Free download! fjernsind.bandcamp.com/album/d-r-original-2017-versionFinally finished the making of sort of a full length compilation album of tracks I have previously released digitally in form of singles, EP's and other stuff with my drone/ambient/noise project in my own name. It is put together such that it forms a coherent experience of a musical journey and consist of 9 tracks of various length that sums up to whole 88 minutes and 38 seconds of drone, ambient and noise music. It is up for free on Bandcamp and coming the beginning of June it will be up on various online music services and stores as well, such as iTunes, Amazon and Spotify. It is the plan that I will later finance a homemade physical homemade double CDR including extra cover art, which will become available for ordering via Bandcamp (when exactly this will happen is unsure though). With the full download of the album comes the full set of artwork to create ones own double CDR (including disk art), everything needed to do this will be a paper, printer, scissors and glue. The tittle of this album Dør is the Danish word for Door (but in Danish that means Dies as well). Edit!!!:
This album eventually expanded to 12 tracks and a play length of over 1 ½ hour, but at a later point I chose to revisit it and release a new version cutting off 4 of the original tracks, but adding 2 new ones, in my opinion resulting in a much better listening experience and a more manageable play length.
The old original version is still up on Bandcamp, but the new version can be found here: fjernsind.bandcamp.com/album/d-r-2

Feels natural, like in a forest. I'm listening to The Deep Pagan Noodle Soup Experience, damn it's good ! Something to calm my nerves. The door is next, looking forward to hear that one. I also got very fond of The Ultimate Oriental Trip to the Perimeters of the known Universe, which I found on youtube. Really good stuff! Also a real fan of your cover art. The door cover is absolutely beutiful

The door cover is absolutely beutiful Thanks a lot, glad you like my music. I realize it is kind of exclusive, but I really enjoy making it, so glad when someone like you see the qualities as love it as much as I do my self. I don't know if you are aware of it already, but I was in this electronic duo called Electro Jar at some point, where I helped creating some music that is a bit more accessible than this solo project of mine, but still with a lot of the same qualities even if definitely more rhythmically founded, like still downtempo and psychedelic. You might like some of it. Personally I think the last 3 songs we managed to make before we broke up are our best ones, the ones on the EP Divinumrum. You can hear all of the tracks here, as well as download them for free, as always with the music I create: electrojarjar.bandcamp.com/Also you might find something you like on my Sound Cloud profile: soundcloud.com/jacob-laebyWhere sort of more or less all my musical outlets ends, being it tracks just made for the fun or experiment of it, sound tests of an instrument or program or more serious tracks. And in case you make music yourself I'd love to hear it, if you got a link, so just post it in a reply!

I like Electro Jar too very much! It is cool with the rhythms, and I really like the sounds of the "drums". Spacefuzz is very uplifting too, really like that spacey and easy feeling! Piano on Somewhere Over an Ocean is very cool one, it's also very good track, even though quite a lot heavier. I am making music, at the moment the things on my own soundcloud are very old, last one made 3 years ago, but there will be new things coming out quite soon. And they are quite different, three years is quite a long journey. It's all mixed up, electronic and instrumental and all sorts. So quite a messy cloud. And that sounds very exciting, I'd find it very inspiring to hear someone else's experimenting too, not just full songs! I am following your bandcamp & soundcloud, so you'll find me on there. I'm Floydz!

A lot has happned since I last posted, as I mentioned in the edited OP this project changed name from sharing my own real name, Jacob Læby, to Fjernsind. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also I made a new revisited, shorter but in my opinion better version of the full length album Dør, scrapping 4 of it's original tracks, that I felt dragged the overall listening experience down, but added 2 new tracks instead, all in all also bringing the play length down to a more manageable length. This new version of the album Dør can be listened to and downloaded for free here: fjernsind.bandcamp.com/album/d-r-2This is the track The Golden Dawn, from that album: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Then I made a 2 track EP titled In Dreams, which beside the all new title track also features one of the tracks that was scrapped on the new version of the album Dør, A Lullaby. The EP In Dreams can be listened to and downloaded for free here: fjernsind.bandcamp.com/album/in-dreamsTitle track from In Dreams: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finally less than a week ago I finished a dark drone track titled Stains of Winter's Grass, which can be listened to and downloaded for free here: fjernsind.bandcamp.com/album/stains-of-winters-grass Stains of Winter's Grass: The title of this track is taken from a line in Clothes of Sand by Nick Drake: Does it now seem worth all the color of skies?
To see the earth through painted eyes
To look through panes of shaded glass
See the stains of winter's grass
- Clothes of Sand, Nick Drake

I was asked if I wanted to take part in a remix project that run on the <1's Bandcamp page of Fencepost material originally released by Evelyn Records in 2002 and based on field recordings, I confirmed my interest and was send the recordings used for the different tracks. So far I managed to do a remix of a track originally titled " Elastic2", manipulating the crap out of the recordings provided and only adding a programmed bell track as well as a vocal track, though only the bell track is still recognizable. The drone bass that caries the track and the odd rubber band horn section is build from the original recordings. I had quite a hard time doing the remix since I am not used to use real/object sounds, but usually build my own tracks from ground or from manipulated samples from music I have already recorded, but non the less it was a fun experience, and I actually think it turned out quite well. I gave my version the title " Rubber Spectre". Featuring on " the fencepost reclamation project volume 5" on initiative by <1, where it can be downloaded for free: lessthanone.bandcamp.com/album/the-fencepost-reclamation-project-volume-5It can also be listened to and downloaded for free via Fjernsind's Bandcamp page here (and if downloaded as the 1 track single album, rather than as the track, the video linked to bellow is also included): fjernsind.bandcamp.com/album/rubber-spectre-fencepost-elastic2-remixThe actual music video I made for " Rubber Spectre": I also made a new mix of my old dark drone track " A Lullaby". Really not as much of an actual remix as it is just an improved mix with a bit more overall clarity, though I did add a few extra ambient effects to this new mix. It is part of the 2 track EP " In Dreams", that beside " A Lullaby", also features the title track " In Dreams", which can be listened to and downloaded for free here: fjernsind.bandcamp.com/album/in-dreams
